DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/20 14:40 Ag Markets Finish Week On Strong Note, Recapture Wednesday Losses The ag complex wrapped up a volatile pre-Christmas trading week Friday with a widespread positive session for ag futures, as soybeans and corn regained the vast majority of Wednesday's losses over the past two sessions. Wheat futures are also recovering albeit to a lesser degree than that of corn and soybeans, as the U.S. Dollar has taken a breather after hitting yet another high dating back over two years. Other outside markets leaned positive with equities stronger to close the week, and crude oil prices fighting off early weakness to move slightly higher as well. Rhett Montgomery DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 5 1/2 cents and May corn was up 5 1/2 cents. January soybeans closed up 11 1/2 cents and March soybeans were up 12 3/4 cents. March KC wheat closed up 1 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 0 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 3 1/2 cents.
