Rhett Montgomery DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 1 1/4 cents, March soybeans are up 3 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is up 1 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat is up 1/4 cent and March Minneapolis wheat is up 1/2 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Grain markets are continuing to add to their Christmas week strength heading into Monday morning. All three major row crop markets are challenging technical resistance to begin the week. Dryness concerns in Argentina and southern Brazil remain unchanged from last week; not a dire situation as of yet but without a doubt will continue to be a leading story for grain markets as the calendar turns to 2025. In fundamental news, the USDA will release export inspections at 10 a.m. CST on Monday morning. Friday's export sales report was a mixed bag being supportive of corn and wheat but disappointing for soybeans so traders will look forward to an update on that front Monday. The CFTC will also release its holiday delayed Commitment of Traders report Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. CST. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 333.59 at 42,992.21 and the S&P 500 Index down 66.75 at 5,970.84. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.62%.
