DTN Early Word Grains 01/17 05:51 Grain Markets Mostly Higher to Finish Choppy Week March corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 4 1/4 cents, March KC wheat is up 1/4 cent, March Chicago wheat is down 1 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is up 3 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 4 1/4 cents, March KC wheat is up 1/4 cent, March Chicago wheat is down 1 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is up 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed after taking a breather on Thursday in the aftermath of a very strong day on Wednesday. Market data was mixed, but did not change the narratives that while some parts of the economy has slowed, future interest rate cuts will be fewer and more spread out if they occur at all. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 68.42 at 43,153.13 and the S&P 500 down 12.57 at 5,937.34. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.606%. Early Friday, the March Dow Jones Futures are up 130 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 1.21%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 1.16% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 1.02%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.31% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.18%.
