DTN Early Word Grains 01/22 05:54 Grain Markets Mixed to Lower, Correcting Tuesday's Strong Gains March corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 4 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 1/4 cent, March Chicago wheat is down 1/4 cent and March Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are down 4 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 1/4 cent, March Chicago wheat is down 1/4 cent and March Minneapolis wheat is down 3/4 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly higher, after a very strong session in the U.S. on Tuesday in the aftermath of the inauguration and a number of new executive orders. The timing of potential tariffs suggested the possibility of negotiations to avoid their implementation, and that weakened U.S. interest rates leading to the rally. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 537.98 at 44,025.81 and the S&P 500 up 52.58 at 6,049.24. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.574%. Early Wednesday, the March Dow Jones Futures are up 67 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.27%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.98% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.67%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.58% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.89%.
