Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 1 cent per bushel, May soybeans are up 7 1/4 cents, May KC wheat is down 3 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 3 3/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is down 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Ahead of Friday's first notice day for March futures, corn, soybeans, and soymeal are moderately higher while wheat is lower in quiet trade. The recent weakness has been attributed to longs exiting March positions ahead of delivery, talk of bearish tariff implications, and the ongoing favorable weather pattern in South America. Traders got a bit of breathing room on the tariffs to be imposed on major trading partners Mexico and Canada when the Trump administration hinted at an April 2 start to the 25% tax. The soybean harvest in Brazil is moving ahead with expectations that the national harvest could be close to 50% done by early next week. With inflation still a concern and tariffs considered bearish both energy and equity markets have been sliding, and Bitcoin and other crypto markets have been in meltdown mode.
