White wheat bids also trailed lower, but did see a modest improvement in basis against Chicago futures which helped offset some of the decline. Weekly Sales...Weekly export sales showed a slower pace of demand over the past week, coming in about half the prior two week's levels. Sales of 9.9 million bushels puts total commitments at 733 million bushels, which is 12% ahead of a year ago and 1% above average. Hard red spring was the top seller with 4.1 million bushels and with 235 million bushels in commitments, sets 8% ahead of a year ago and 9% above average. Hard red winter booked 3 million bushels, putting sales at 177 million which is 50% ahead of a year ago but 23% below average. White wheat sales slowed to 1.2 million bushels and with 199 million in commitments, sets 48% ahead of a year ago and 24% above the average pace. Top Buyers...Taiwan was the top U.S. wheat buyer last week, securing 3.8 million bushels. Mexico booked 3.5 million bushels and Japan rounded-out the top three with 1.3 million bushels. - Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2025 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
