Declines were most apparent in hard red winter and dark northern spring wheat markets, with less of an impact on white wheat as basis to Chicago futures doubled from last week. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed wheat movement off U.S. ports came in right at the same levels as the prior week at 14.2 million bushels. This puts year-to-date shipments at 574 million bushels, which is 20% ahead of the same period a year ago. Hard red spring was the top shipper with 7.5 million bushels, followed by soft white with 2.8 million and hard red winter with 2.7 million. West coast exporters moved a total of 8.9 million bushels of wheat, going mostly to the Philippines, along with 10 million bushels of corn for Japan and South Korea. - Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2025 DTN/Telvent.
