That market saw basis jump a dime to 110 over, holding bid structures flat with no carries into December. Nearby soft white wheat basis opened the week defensive against gains in Chicago, with carries of 3 cents per month into January; and red spring wheat basis held steady with bids flat into January. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed US wheat loadings slipped from the solid pace set last week, coming in at 13.6 mb and well below the pace needed to meet USDA projections. Year-to-date shipments now stand at 200 mb and 23% behind a year ago. Dark northern spring was the top shipper with nearly 4 mb, followed by soft red winter with 3.3 mb, hard red winter with 3.1 mb and 2.3 mb in soft white shipments. Crop Progress...With cereal grain harvest completed, Pacific Northwest producers now look for relief from recent dry conditions before advancing with fall plantings. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2015 DTN/Telvent.
