Basis levels also remained firm, with hard red winter at 115 over, dark northern spring at 150 over and white wheat hovering near the 60 over level. Japan returned to the market this week, buying 1.8 mb of US wheat, 2 mb of Canadian springs and 1 mb of standard white wheat from Australia. Cooler weather and good moisture continues to stream through the Pacific Northwest. Weekly Sales...USDA reported in with a disappointing week of demand, coming in near the marketing year low with only 3 mb. Year-to-date sales now stand at 472 mb and 17% behind a year ago. Sales by class showed an even distribution of sales, with a 1.4 mb hard red winter cancellation from Nigeria putting that class at a net loss for the week. White wheat sales stand at 88 mb, down 6% from a year ago. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2015 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
