Near-term demand remains limited and export bids show basis levels holding mostly steady after accounting for a roll to March futures. Good moisture continues to blanket most of the PNW. Shipments...Wheat loadings generally remain slow off all ports. Weekly export inspections showed 10 mb shipped off all ports last week, which put year-to-date shipments 16% behind last year. White wheat loadings came in at 2.4 mb, going mostly to Japan and the Philippines. Crop Progress...Recent moisture has been beneficial to PNW winter wheat crops, but not yet being reflected in official crop assessments. Over the past week, good to excellent ratings for Idaho held unchanged at 66%, with Oregon up 7 points to 14%, and Montana holding at 73%. Washington winter wheat saw a 7 point decline from last week, rated at 41% good to excellent. Emergence remains behind average for the 3-state region, while Montana has a winter wheat crop emerging ahead of average. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2015 DTN/Telvent.
