DTN Early Word Grains 12/02 05:57 Soybeans Higher Again Early Wednesday March corn was 1 cent lower, January soybeans were 2 cents higher, and March Chicago wheat was fractionally higher. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: March corn was 1 cent lower, January soybeans were 2 cents higher, and March Chicago wheat was fractionally higher. CME Globex Recap: Soybeans traded both sides of unchanged overnight before sitting higher early Wednesday morning. This provided support to both corn and wheat, with the latter showing small gains despite a renewed rally in the U.S. dollar index. The dollar continues to consolidate ahead of Friday's November jobs data which is expected to set the table for a move on interest rates by the Federal Reserve. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 168.43 points higher Tuesday at 17,888.35. The NASDAQ Composite was up 47.64 points at 5,156.31. DJIA futures were 31 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mostly lower with the Nikkei down 74.27 points at 19,938.13 and China's Shanghai Composite up 80.60 points. European markets were mostly higher. The U.S. dollar index was up 0.275 at 100.070. Crude oil was $0.48 lower at $41.37 while Brent crude was $0.59 lower at $43.85. February gold was $2.70 higher at $1,066.20. Dalian soybean futures were higher while Malaysian palm oil futures were mostly lower.
