Posted bids show both hard red winter and spring wheat markets bid flat through April with soft white flat through January then reflecting a carry of 3 cents per month into April. Japan was in the market this week, booking a total of 4.6 mb to cover their January-February requirements which included 2.5 mb from the US and 2.1 mb of Canadian spring wheat. Weekly Sales...Weekly export sales, while less than stellar, did show a 29% improvement over last week and were highlighted by a 3.6 mb sale of dark northern spring wheat to China. As a result, spring wheat came in as top seller for the week at 3.9 mb, followed by hard red winter at 3.8 and soft red winter with 3.4 mb. Soft white registered a relatively good week with 3.2 mb. South Korea, unknown, Mexico and the Philippines rounded out the list for the top five buyers last week. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2015 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
