By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: May corn was 1 cent higher, May soybeans were 4 cents higher, and July Kansas City wheat was 3 cents higher. CME Globex Recap: Wednesday saw the FOMC leave interest rates alone in March, while saying only two hikes in 2016 should be expected. The U.S. dollar collapsed, and continues to fall through early Thursday morning, sparking renewed buying in the commodity sector. It seems fitting that the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow was, well -- gold, up almost $40 overnight. Corn was quiet, naturally, while soybeans led the way in grains. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 74.23 points higher at 17,325.76; the NASDAQ Composite was up 35.30 points at 4,763.97, while the S&P 500 rallied 11.29 points to close at 2,027.22 Wednesday. DJIA futures were 34 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mostly higher though the Nikkei was down another 38.07 points (0.2%) while China's Shanghai Composite rallied 34.40 points (1.2%). European markets were mixed with London's FTSE 100 up 29.57 points (0.5%). The U.S. dollar index was down 0.795 at 95.095, moving below the February low of 95.236. Crude oil was up $1.01 at $39.47 while Brent crude gained $0.94 to $41.27. April gold was $35.70 higher at $1,265.50. China's Dalian soybean futures were mostly higher while Malaysian palm oil futures were higher.
