By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: July corn was 3 cents lower, July beans were 6 cents lower, and July Kansas City wheat was fractionally lower. CME Globex Recap: Follow-through selling from Tuesday had grains on the defensive overnight. Some of this was due to the continued rally in the U.S. dollar index as it built on Tuesday's turnaround. Outside commodities were mixed again with energies mostly higher and metals lower. A sharp sell-off in DJIA futures is pointing at another triple-digit lower open by the Dow later Wednesday morning. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 140.25 points lower at 17,750.91, the NASDAQ Composite was down 54.37 points at 4,763.22, and the S&P 500 lost 18.05 points to close at 2,063.37 Tuesday. DJIA futures were 117 points lower overnight. Asian and European stock markets were mostly lower. The U.S. dollar index rallied 0.297 to 93.241. Crude oil gained $0.06 to $43.71 while Brent crude was up $0.04 to $45.01. June gold was $11.80 lower at $1,280.00. China's Dalian soybean futures were lower and Malaysian palm oil futures were higher overnight.
