DTN Early Word Grains 05/10 05:56 A Wall of Numbers Headed Grains' Way Tuesday July corn was fractionally lower, July beans were 3 cents higher, and July Chicago wheat was fractionally lower. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: July corn was fractionally lower, July beans were 3 cents higher, and July Chicago wheat was fractionally lower. CME Globex Recap: Soybeans posted an active overnight session while corn and wheat were quiet ahead of USDA's May Supply and Demand reports. Soybean contracts traded either side of unchanged while posting a 10-cent trading range. Outside markets were higher with crude oil rallying despite talk domestic inventories continue to rise. Gold was showing a small gain despite light buying interest in the U.S. dollar index. DJIA futures were rallying on support from overseas markets. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 34.72 points lower at 17,705.91, the NASDAQ Composite was up 14.05 points at 4,750.21, and the S&P 500 gained 1.55 points to close at 2,058.69 Monday. DJIA futures were 107 points higher overnight. Asian markets were higher with Japan's Nikkei up 349.16 points (2.2%) while China's Shanghai Composite gained 0.48 points. European markets were also higher with London's FTSE 100 up 48.13 points (0.8%). The U.S. dollar index rallied 0.101 to 94.229. Crude oil gained $0.41 to $43.85 while Brent crude climbed $0.70 to $44.33. June gold was $0.10 higher at $1,266.70. China's Dalian soybean futures were lower and Malaysian palm oil futures were higher again overnight.
