DTN Early Word Grains 05/25 06:01 Bean Meal Keeps Rolling Higher July corn was fractionally higher, July beans were 8 cents higher, and July Kansas City wheat was 2 cents higher. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: July corn was fractionally higher, July beans were 8 cents higher, and July Kansas City wheat was 2 cents higher. CME Globex Recap: Solid commercial buying was seen in the soybean complex overnight, with meal once again leading the way. Soybeans were posting solid gains, contracts near session highs early Wednesday, providing spillover support to the other grains. Interestingly enough, despite a wild night of weather across Kansas, the Kansas City HRW market was only able to gain 2 cents. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 213.12 points higher at 17,706.05, the NASDAQ Composite gained 95.28 points to 4,861.06, and the S&P 500 rallied 28.02 points to close at 2,076.06 Tuesday. DJIA futures were 65 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mostly higher with Japan's Nikkei up 285.59 points (1.6%) while China's Shanghai Composite lost 6.58 points (0.2). European markets were higher with London's FTSE 100 up 35.60 points (0.6%). The U.S. dollar index gained another 0.022 to 95.593. Crude oil rallied $0.54 to $49.16 while Brent crude added $0.62 to $49.23. June gold was $8.00 lower at $1,221.20. China's Dalian soybean futures were lower and Malaysian palm oil futures were higher again overnight.
