DTN Closing Livestock Comment 11/11 15:24 Cattle Futures Close Higher Live cattle futures closed higher Friday, up 37 to 110. Feeder cattle contracts were also higher, up 35 to 90. Lean hog futur3s were mixed, up 22 to down 25. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: From Friday to Friday livestock futures scored the following Changes: Dec LC, Up $2.88; Feb LC, Up $2.00; Nov FC, Up $0.10; Jan FC, Up $3.17, Dec LH, Up $0.97, Feb LH, Off $1.38. Cash cattle markets were undeveloped at the time of this writing, with closing bids still $101 per cwt live basis and $160 per cwt dressed. Trade is expected to still develop in all areas at some point through the afternoon or evening. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.38 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($39.00-$42.00, weighted average $41.70). Corn futures closed lower, down 3 1/4 in the December and down 3 in the March.
