Hard red winter took the bigger hit week to week, as basis levels also weakened against the roll to July futures. Spreads between white wheat old crop and new crop bids have narrowed considerably; closing to within 20 cents as new crop basis has strengthened relative to old crop. Shipments...Weekly export inpsections showed a good week of movement for hard red winter last week, with overall shipments of 23 mb putting year-to-date loadings at 786 mb and 2% behind a year ago. Hard red wheat accounted for 9.3 mb of the total, followed by hard red spring with 6.7 mb, soft red winter at 4.1 mb and soft white at 2.9 mb. Top destinations off the west coast showed Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand all at the 2 mb mark. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2019 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
