Spot white wheat basis has been more subdued since the completion of a CCC donation tender for Yemen last week; setting nearly 30 cents under levels from two weeks ago. Japan is seeking 2.2 mb of mostly U.S. white wheat in their tender this week. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed total U.S. wheat loadings at 13.8 mb, putting year-to-date shipments at 29.2 mb and right on track with a year ago. Top shipper was hard red winter with 8 mb, followed by hard red spring with 3.1 mb and soft white at 1.7 mb. Indonesia was the top destination off the west coast with 3.1 mb. Crop Progress...Pacific Northwest winter wheat conditions moved toward "average" status over the past week with the three-state index slipping 1% to 100% of average. Changes were noted primarily in the excellent category, with Oregeon seeing an 11% reduction. Hot and dry weather also pared the spring wheat ratings with Washington seeing a 7% drop in good to excellent rating, putting the crop at 102% of average. Idaho spring wheat conditions have slipped 8% over the past two weeks to 89% of average. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2019 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
