By Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1/2 cents, and September K.C. wheat is down 4 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Financial markets are higher to close the week with equity markets on the highs and the U.S. Dollar Index trading to the highest levels since late May overnight. U.S. producers are still trying to determine how the Market Facilitation Payment structure, announced Thursday, is going to work with wide ranging payments depending on county. Armed with another trade war mitigation payment, growers could opt to keep the bin doors locked until more is known about the 2019 corn and soybean crops. Grain futures are mixed overnight as weather forecasts remain mostly benign with the exception of developing dryness in Iowa and Illinois. Corn futures appear comfortable with the idea of consolidating just above July lows, awaiting clarity on pollination as well as refreshed data sets from the USDA in August. Cash markets will be worth watching the next 15-30 days as producers decide what to do with remaining old crop stocks, especially after a bit more certainty will be had on supply.
