White wheat markets did receive some good news with an announcement that USDA will be holding a 4 mb tender for donation to Yemen. Weekly Sales...USDA reported an improved pace of export sales for U.S. wheat last week, coming in at 17.9 mb to put the year-to-date total at 345 mb; up 25% from a year ago but 3% behind the five-year average pace. Top seller was hard red spring with 8.3 mb, which put sales at 90 mb and 1% ahead of a year ago but 16% behind average. Hard red winter saw 4.8 mb booked to put sales at 136 mb, standing more than double a year ago and 18% ahead of average. Soft white booked another 2.1 mb and with 60 mb sold, sets 23% behind a year ago and 18% below average.
