Farm selling remains subdued as efforts remain focused on harvest. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed a modest decline wheat loadings off U.S. ports from the prior week, coming in at 18.1 mb to put the current year total at 221 mb and 24% ahead of a year ago. Hard red winter was top shipper with 6.9 mb. Soft white wheat had a solid week of movement at 5.7 mb and hard red spring recorded 3.2 mb. Top destination off the west coast was Japan with 2.8 mb, followed by Guatemala with 1.8 mb and Taiwan at 1.5 mb. Crop Progress...Winter wheat harvest continued to advance across the PNW wheat last week, as Idaho put away another 26% of the crop and sets at 86% complete. Oregon sets at 94% complete while Washington lags the average pace by 11% at 84% cut. Spring wheat harvest for Washington and Idaho is approaching the halfway mark. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2019 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
