Hard red winter also saw stronger basis levels supporting bids while hard red spring drifted to multi-year lows. Farm selling remains limited at current levels. Weekly Sales...USDA reported another solid week of export demand for U.S. wheat, coming in at a marketing-year best of 24.3 mb. This places total sales at 407 mb, up 24% from a year ago and 2% ahead of the 5-year average pace. Top seller was hard red spring with 8.7 mb and with 112 mb in sales stands 12% ahead of a year ago but 7% behind average. Sales of hard red winter came in at 8.3 mb to put the year-to-date commitments at 156 mb; 65% ahead of a year ago and 16% above average. Soft white saw 4.7 mb in new buying, placing sales at 72 mb which is 14% behind a year ago and 9% below average.
