DTN Early Word Grains 09/10 06:20 Grains Starting Higher Early Tuesday December corn is up 4 3/4 cents, November soybeans are up 5 1/4 cents and December KC wheat is up 3 1/2 cents. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn is up 4 3/4 cents, November soybeans are up 5 1/4 cents and December KC wheat is up 3 1/2 cents. CME Globex Recap: U.S. stock futures and European stock markets are a little lower early Tuesday after China reported consumer prices up 2.8% in August from a year ago. Producer prices were down 0.1% in spite of much higher pork prices. Outside of grains, other commodities are mixed early Tuesday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 38.05 at 26,835.51 and the S&P 500 down 0.28 at 2,978.43 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.62%. Early Tuesday, the December DJIA futures are down 45 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 73.68 (0.35%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 3.54 points (-0.12%). European markets are modestly lower with London's FTSE 100 down 46.53 points (-0.64%), Germany's DAX down 33.43 points (-0.27%) and France's CAC 40 down 16.03 points (-0.29%). The December euro is down $.001 at $1.105. The December U.S. dollar index is up .13 at 98.38. The December 30-year T-bond is down 3/32nds, while December gold is down $8.30 at $1,502.80 and October crude oil is up $0.24 at $58.09.
