Hard red spring wheat broke above the $7 mark for the first time in over a year and soft white is holding above $6. Carries are also being posted for all classes of wheat. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed another relatively steady week of U.S. wheat loadings, coming in just under 17 mb to put the current year total at 348 mb and 21% ahead of a year ago. Hard red winter was the top shipper at 6.2 mb, followed by hard red spring at 4.9 mb. Soft white also had a relatively strong week at 3.7 mb. Top destinations off the PNW ports were Japan with 3.1 mb, China with 2.3 mb and Indonesia with 1.9 mb. Crop Progress...USDA shows winter wheat planting progress lagging the five-year pace for both Idaho and Washington, while Oregon is sets well- above average.
