DTN Early Word Grains 10/31 05:59 Grains Lower Early, Better Harvest Weather Offers Treat December corn is down 3 1/4 cents, November soybeans are down 2 1/2 cents and December KC wheat is down 3 cents. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn is down 3 1/4 cents, November soybeans are down 2 1/2 cents and December KC wheat is down 3 cents. CME Globex Recap: U.S. stock futures and European stock markets are lower early Thursday, pulling back from Wednesday's new high in the S&P 500, even after the Federal Reserve reduced its federal funds target a third time in 2019. The December U.S. dollar index is lower, while other commodity markets are mixed. Malaysian palm oil is down slightly from Wednesday's new one-year high. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 115.27 at 27,186.69 and the S&P 500 up 9.88 at 3,046.77 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.80%. Early Thursday, the December DJIA futures are down 91 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 83.92 (0.4%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 10.26 points (-0.3%). European markets are lower with London's FTSE 100 down 59.68 points (-0.8%), Germany's DAX down 81.12 points (-0.6%) and France's CAC 40 down 32.63 points (-0.6%).
