DTN Early Word Grains 11/22 05:55 Grains Quiet, Wheat a Little Higher March corn is up 1/4 cent, January soybeans are down 3/4 cent and March KC wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: March corn is up 1/4 cent, January soybeans are down 3/4 cent and March KC wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: U.S. stock futures and European stock markets are modestly higher early Friday with the December Dow Jones futures still near a new record high. Trade with China remains an important issue for financial and commodity traders alike, but there appears to be no significant shift in either side. The December U.S. dollar index is quiet, trading up 0.02 while other commodity markets are mixed. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 54.80 at 27,766.29 and the S&P 500 down 4.92 at 3,103.54 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.77%. Early Friday, December Dow Jones futures are up 21 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 74.30 (0.3%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 18.35 points (-0.6%). European markets are higher with London's FTSE 100 up 79.47 points (1.1%), Germany's DAX up 29.06 points (0.2%) and France's CAC 40 up 17.36 points (0.3%). The December euro is down $.0002 at $1.1073. The December U.S. dollar index is up .02 at 97.92. The December 30-year T-bond is up 13/32nds, while December gold is up $7.00 at $1,470.60 and January crude oil is down $0.26 at $58.32. Soybeans are slightly higher and meal is sllightly lower on China's Dalian Exchange. February palm oil jumped up 3% overnight to a new two-year high.
