DTN Early Word Grains 11/27 05:55 Grains Slightly Higher Early Wednesday March corn is up 1 cent, January soybeans are up 2 1/2 cents and March KC wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: March corn is up 1 cent, January soybeans are up 2 1/2 cents and March KC wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: U.S. stock futures and European stock markets are modestly higher early Wednesday ahead of an update on U.S. GDP, due out at 7:30 a.m. CST. The December U.S. dollar index is up 0.07, but most outside commodities are leaning higher early Wednesday. U.S. grain and livestock futures close at their normal times on Wednesday. Trading for both resumes Friday at 8:30 a.m. CST. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 55.21 at 28,121.68 and the S&P 500 up 6.88 at 3,140.52 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.74%. Early Wednesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 14 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 64.45 (0.3%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 3.87 points (-0.1%). European markets are higher with London's FTSE 100 up 34.18 points (0.5%), Germany's DAX up 65.85 points (0.5%) and France's CAC 40 up 13.01 points (0.2%). The December euro is down $.0015 at $1.1020. The December U.S. dollar index is up .08 at 98.25. The December 30-year T-bond is down 1/16, while December gold is down $.90 at $1,459.40 and January crude oil is up $0.13 at $58.54. Soybeans and meal are both a little lower on China's Dalian Exchange. February palm oil was up 0.4% overnight.
