DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/17 14:09 Grains Mixed to End Bearish Week May contracts of corn and winter wheat ended with modest gains Friday, while soybeans, soy products and spring wheat posted another day of losses. Dow Jones Industrials were trading higher early Friday afternoon with guarded optimism for a possible coronavirus treatment. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed up 2 1/2 cents and December corn was up 2 1/2 cents. July soybeans closed down 3 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 3 1/2 cents. July KC wheat closed up 8 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 3 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was down 3/4 cent. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down .28 at 99.82. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 412.01 points at 23,949.69. June gold is down $35.40 at $1,696.30, May silver is down $0.32 at $15.31 and May copper is up $0.0525. June crude oil is down $0.80 at $24.73, June heating oil is up $0.0160, June RBOB gasoline is up $0.0244 and June natural gas is up $0.047.
