DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/21 13:52 May Crude Returns to Positive Ground, Soybean Meal Rebounds Higher One day after trading at negative prices for the first time in history, May crude oil gained back some composure and traded in positive territory before expiring Tuesday. Support emerged for July soybean meal as prices turned back from their lowest level in eleven months and settled up $3.40 a short ton. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 5 cents and December corn was down 5 cents. July soybeans closed up 4 1/2 cents and November soybeans were up 2 1/4 cents. July KC wheat closed up 1 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 1 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was down 5 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.28 at 100.34. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 439.73 points at 23,210.71. June gold is down $18.60 at $1,692.60, July silver is down $0.70 at $14.91 and July copper is down $0.0905. June crude oil is down $7.32 at $13.11, June heating oil is down $0.1250, June RBOB gasoline is down $0.1335 and June natural gas is down $0.087.
