DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/23 13:52 Row Crops Cling to Small Gains Thursday July corn and soybeans eked out small gains Thursday, helped by higher trade in crude oil and by USDA's news of a second soybean export sale to China, bringing the two-day total to 17.3 mb. July KC wheat ended down 4 1/2 cents, falling back from an earlier and unsuccessful challenge of this year's high. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 1 1/4 cents and December corn was up 2 cents. July soybeans closed up 4 1/4 cents and November soybeans were up 1 1/2 cents. July KC wheat closed down 4 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 1 cent and July Minneapolis wheat was up 3 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up .08 at 100.61. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 137.92 points at 23,613.74. June gold is up $8.80 at $1,747.10, July silver is unchanged at $15.34 and July copper is up $0.0135. June crude oil is up $2.21 at $15.99, June heating oil is up $0.0015, June RBOB gasoline is down $0.0038 and June natural gas is down $0.115.
