DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/27 14:08 Crude Oil, Planting Progress Pull Corn Lower July corn fell 9 3/4 cents Monday, pressured by June crude oil prices that were nearly $4 lower as gasoline demand remains restrained by lack of travel. All three wheat prices finished lower with beneficial rains in the forecast for Europe and Ukraine and improved planting conditions seen for U.S. spring wheat. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 9 3/4 cents and December corn was down 7 1/4 cents. July soybeans closed down 3 cents and November soybeans were down 1 1/4 cents. July KC wheat closed down 3 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 5 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was down 4 1/2 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down .29 at 100.14. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 322.67 points at 24,097.94. June gold is down $12.50 at $1,723.10, July silver is down $0.01 at $15.26 and July copper is up $0.0015. June crude oil is down $3.92 at $13.02, June heating oil is down $0.0350, June RBOB gasoline is down $0.0227 and June natural gas is up $0.001.
