DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/30 14:01 Grains End Bearish Month With Higher Closes July contracts of corn, soybeans, soy products and all three wheats closed higher Thursday, boosted by a possible export sale, a glimmer of hope for an economy emerging from coronavirus paralysis or maybe even by short-covering at the end of a bearish month. June crude oil is also trading higher Thursday, helped by Wednesday's report of increased gasoline demand. By Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 5 1/2 cents and December corn was up 3 3/4 cents. July soybeans closed up 17 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 13 1/2 cents. July KC wheat closed up 11 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 7 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 8 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down .55 at 99.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 331.75 points at 24,302.11. June gold is down $20.00 at $1,693.40, July silver is down $0.32 at $15.0 and July copper is down $0.0275. June crude oil is up $1.65 at $16.71, June heating oil is up $0.0085, June RBOB gasoline is down $0.0363 and June natural gas is up $0.051.
