CME Globex: European stocks are mixed early Wednesday and Dow Jones futures are on track for a modestly higher open. June crude oil is trading a little higher, finding recent support from states starting to ease restrictions on stay-at-home policies, even while U.S. coronavirus deaths remain an active concern. Most commodity prices are mixed. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 133.33 at 23,883.09 and the S&P 500 up 25.70 at 2,868.44 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 0.66%. Early Wednesday, June Dow Jones futures are up 211 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 574.34 points (-2.8%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 18.06 points (0.6%). European markets are mixed with London's FTSE 100 up 22.68 points (0.4%), Germany's DAX down 7.45 points (-0.1%) and France's CAC 40 down 12.11 points (-0.3%). The June euro is down $.0062 at $1.0799. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up .45 at 100.22. The June 30-year T-bond is down 11/32nds, while June gold is down $3.10 at $1,707.50 and June crude oil is up $0.78 at $25.34. Soybeans are a little lower and meal is a little higher on China's Dalian Exchange. July palm oil is up almost 1.0% overnight, but still near its lowest prices in nine months.
