DTN Early Word Grains 07/28 05:56 Row Crops Fall Back, USDA Raises Crop View December corn is down 3 1/2 cents, November soybeans are down 13 cents and September KC wheat is up 1/4 cent. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: December corn is down 3 1/2 cents, November soybeans are down 13 cents and September KC wheat is up 1/4 cent. CME Globex Recap: European and Asian stock markets are mixed to higher early Tuesday and Dow Jones futures are starting lower. Outside markets relaxed at least temporarily as the Federal Reserve starts a two-day meeting that is expected to conclude Wednesday with another affirmation of the need for interest rates to remain near zero and possibly hint of more stimulus this fall. The September U.S. dollar index a little higher and August gold is down $3.70, still near all-time highes. Row crops are lower after USDA increased good-to-excellent crop ratings late Monday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 114.88 at 26,584.77 and the S&P 500 up 23.78 at 3,239.41 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 0.61%. Early Tuesday, September Dow Jones futures are down 104 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 58.47 points (-0.3%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 22.73 points (0.7%). European markets are a little higher with London's FTSE 100 up 28.61 points (0.5%), Germany's DAX up 48.18 points (0.4%) and France's CAC 40 up 1.50 points (0.03%). The September euro is down $.0027 at $1.1737. The September U.S. Dollar Index is up .15 at 93.77. The September 30-year T-bond is down 2/32nds, while August gold is down $3.70 at $1,927.30 and September crude oil is down $0.13 at $41.47. Soybeans are a little higher on China's Dalian Exchange, while corn and soybean meal prices are lower. October palm oil is trading lower a second day, down 2.8%.
