DTN Early Word Grains 07/29 05:57 Wheat Starts Higher, Row Crops Quiet December corn is unchanged, November soybeans are down 1/2 cent and September KC wheat is up 6 1/2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: December corn is unchanged, November soybeans are down 1/2 cent and September KC wheat is up 6 1/2 cents. CME Globex Recap: European and Asian stock markets are mixed early Wednesday and Dow Jones futures are starting slightly higher. The September U.S. Dollar Index is lower and August gold is up $10.70, still pushing all-time highs as the Federal Reserve meets for a second day, giving us a statement at 1 p.m. CDT. Row crops are slightly higher after Tuesday's lower prices responded to USDA's higher crop ratings. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 205.49 at 26,379.28 and the S&P 500 down 20.97 at 3,218.44 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 0.58%. Early Wednesday, September Dow Jones futures are up 10 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 260.27 points (-1.1%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 66.59 points (2.1%). European markets are mixed with London's FTSE 100 up 19.02 points (0.3%), Germany's DAX down 27.68 points (-0.2%) and France's CAC 40 up 47.08 points (0.7%). The September euro is up $.0024 at $1.1760. The September U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.18 at 93.47. The September 30-year T-bond is down 7/32nds, while August gold is up $10.70 at $1,955.30 and September crude oil is up $0.41 at $41.45. Soybeans are higher on China's Dalian Exchange, while corn is steady and soybean meal prices are lower. October palm oil is trading up 1.2%.
