DTN Early Word Grains 10/13 07:21 Grains Attempt Rebound Early Tuesday December corn is up 2 1/4 cents, November soybeans are up 5 1/2 cents and December KC wheat is up 9 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Early Tuesday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little lower with European stock markets doing the same. According to CNBC.com, Chinese customs data showed China's imports up 13% in September, more than expected. Imports of U.S. agricultural goods were said to be up 44% in the first nine months of 2020 from a year ago. The Financial Times quoted the International Energy Agency as saying this will be the slowest decade of world energy demand growth since the 1930s. Even so, November crude oil is trading higher early Tuesday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 250.62 at 28,837.52 and the S&P 500 up 57.09 at 3,534.22 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 0.78%. Early Tuesday, December Dow Jones futures are down 126 points. Asian markets are slightly higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 43.09 (0.2%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 1.28 (0.04%). European markets are modestly lower with London's FTSE 100 down 19.10 points (-0.3%), Germany's DAX down 32.19 points (-0.3%) and France's CAC 40 down 15.67 points (-0.3%). The December euro is down $.0020 at $1.1805. The December U.S. Dollar Index is up .08 at 93.18. The December 30-year T-bond is up 6/32nds, while December gold is down $1.70 at $1,927.20 and November crude oil is up $0.72 at $40.15. China's Dalian Exchange showed soybeans slightly lower, corn a little higher and soybean meal lower. November palm oil is trading slightly higher, near its highest prices in 2020.
