Hard red winter bids also remain at a rare premium to dark northern spring wheat prices. Shipments...Weather hampered wheat movement off U.S. ports last week, as total export loadings came in at just 8.8 mb to put the year-to-date total at 392 mb and 6% ahead of a year ago. Hard red winter was the top shipper with 3.4 mb, followed by hard red spring with 2.9 mb and white wheat with 2.3 mb. West coast ports registered just three destinations; Burma taking 2 mb, Indonesia at 1.9 mb and Japan with 1.2 mb. Crop Progress...USDA reports both Idaho and Washington winter wheat plantings are ahead of the average pace, near the 90% completion point. Emergence also looks good for those states, while Oregon plantings set 10% behind both the average planting pace and average emergence. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2020 DTN/Telvent.
