DTN Early Word Grains 11/03 05:53 Commodities Nearly All Higher as the Country Votes December corn is up 2 1/2 cents, January soybeans are up 11 3/4 cents and December KC wheat is up 6 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: December corn is up 2 1/2 cents, January soybeans are up 11 3/4 cents and December KC wheat is up 6 cents. CME Globex Recap: Early Tuesday, European stocks, Asian stocks and the Dow Jones futures are all trading higher, along with nearly all commodities -- a risk-on start to the day. Even December crude oil is trading higher after falling lower last week, related to coronavirus concerns slowing economic demand. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 423.45 at 26,925.05 and the S&P 500 up 40.28 at 3,310.24 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 0.85%. Early Tuesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 10 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 318.35 (1.4%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 45.95 (1.4%). European markets are higher with London's FTSE 100 up 99.23 points (1.7%), Germany's DAX up 231.84 points (2.0%) and France's CAC 40 up 96.71 points (2.1%). The December euro is up $.0064 at $1.1706. The December U.S. Dollar Index is down .50 at 93.65. The December 30-year T-bond is down 22/32nds, while December gold is up $7.30 at $1,899.80 and December crude oil is up $1.44 at $38.25. China's Dalian Exchange showed January corn down 1.2%, January soybeans up 0.2% and January soybean meal up 0.9%. January palm oil is trading up 3.2%, near its highest prices in 2020.
