DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/27 13:54 Monday's Corn Rally Suggests Harvest Disappointment December corn closed up 12 3/4 cents Monday, posting a new high close of $5.39 1/2 in September as harvest activity picked up across the Midwest. December Minneapolis wheat was also higher, up 5 1/2 cents with many expecting USDA to lower its production estimate of other spring wheat in Thursday's Small Grains Summary. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 12 3/4 cents and March corn was up 12 1/2 cents. November soybeans closed up 2 1/2 cents and March soybeans were up 5 cents. December KC wheat closed up 1 cent, December Chicago wheat was down 1 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 5 1/2 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is unchanged at 93.34. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 135.36 points at 34,933.36. December gold is down $0.40 at $1,751.30, December silver is up $0.27 at $22.70 and December copper is down $0.0015. November crude oil is up $1.57 at $75.55, November heating oil is up $0.0311, November RBOB gasoline is up $0.0351 and November natural gas is up $0.491.
