DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/10 13:47 Wheat Prices Burst Higher After Russia Steps Up Attacks December contracts of all three U.S. wheats closed 43 cents to 57 3/4 cents higher Monday after Russia responded to an attack of its bridge to Crimea with a barrage of missile attacks on several Ukrainian cities across the entire country. Corn and soybean prices also finished higher on a day that saw higher trading in the U.S. dollar. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 15 cents and July corn was up 12 cents. November soybeans closed up 7 cents and July soybeans were up 5 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed up 55 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 57 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 46 1/4 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.23 at 112.92. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 57.48 points at 29,239.31. December gold is down $32.70 at $1,676.60, December silver is down $0.61 at $19.65 and December copper is up $0.0565. November crude oil is down $1.05 at $91.59, November ultra-low sulfur diesel is down $0.0894, November RBOB gasoline is down $0.1006 and November natural gas is down $0.291.
