DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/31 13:55 Corn, Soymeal Prices Sag, While Other Crops Finish Higher March corn closed down 4 cents and March soybean meal was down $4.50 Tuesday, while the rest of the grain sector was mostly higher. March Chicago wheat, funds' favorite short target, closed up 8 3/4 cents despite good crop conditions reported for SRW wheat. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 4 cents and July corn was down 2 1/4 cents. March soybeans closed up 2 3/4 cents and July soybeans were down 3/4 cent. March KC wheat closed up 5 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 8 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 3/4 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.22 at 101.87. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 202.68 points at 33,919.77. April gold is up $7.00 at $1,929.90, March silver is up $0.09 at $23.82 and March copper is up $0.0225. March crude oil is up $0.69 at $78.59, March ultra-low sulfur diesel is up $0.0667, March RBOB gasoline is up $0.0548 and March natural gas is up $0.002.
