DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/19 15:34 Cash Cattle Traded Steady to $2.00 Higher Thanks to the strength of the cash cattle market, both the live cattle and feeder cattle contracts rounded out the week on a higher note. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: With cash cattle prices trading steady to $2.00 higher and corn closing lower, both the live cattle and feeder cattle contracts closed higher by Friday's end while hogs remained pressured. Hog prices closed higher on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, up $1.45 with a weighted average price of $80.43 on 5,317 head. July corn is down 3/4 cent per bushel and July soybean meal is down $5.00. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 109.28 points.
