DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/21 13:39 Grain and Soy Markets Tumble on Poor Exports, Rain and Outside Market Weakness The grain and soy markets fell in unison on Thursday as harvest advances and export sales from the U.S. continue to underperform. Soybeans, soy products and Kansas City wheat led the markets lower, as hard red winter wheat exports remain 50% lower from a year ago, all wheat exports down 17%, and total soy commitments are 34% lower. While showers will interrupt harvest progress for a few days, a return to warmth and dryness will occur next week. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed down 7 cents per bushel and November soybeans finished down 26 1/4 cents per bushel. December KC wheat ended down 18 1/2 cents per bushel, December Chicago wheat was down 13 cents per bushel and December Minneapolis wheat settled down 17 cents.
