DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/13 15:47 Dismal Trader Interest Leads Livestock Lower It was a melancholy Friday for the livestock complex as all three of the markets closed lower due to a lack of trader interest and ambition. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: It was a dismal day for the livestock complex as all three of the livestock markets rounded out Friday's market lower. Hog prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $1.54 with a weighted average price of $72.07 on 1,381 head. December corn is down 2 3/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $2.90. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 23.81 points.
