DTN Early Word Grains 11/15 05:30 Soybean, Wheat Prices Nudge Higher Ahead of Busy Wednesday December corn was up 1 cent, January soybeans were up 7 cents and December KC wheat was up 4 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was up 1 cent, January soybeans were up 7 cents and December KC wheat was up 4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher after Tuesday's big gain, related to encouraging news on the inflation front. Also late Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill intended to avoid a government shutdown after November 17. Wednesday is a busy day, starting at 7:30 a.m. CST, the U.S. producer price index and retail sales reports for October will be released. At 9:30 a.m., the U.S. Energy Department's weekly inventory report will be out with updated data after last week's absence, due to system upgrades. The National Oilseeds Processors Association will have an estimate of members' soybean crush later Wednesday morning. At 2 p.m., USDA will have new cost of production forecasts for 2023. U.S. President Joe Biden and China's President Xi Jinping are set to meet in San Francisco Wednesday and traders will be keenly watching any trade-related comments, along with any news concerning a possible government shutdown. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 489.83 at 34,827.70 and the S&P 500 Index up 84.15 at 4,495.70. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.44%. Early Wednesday, December Dow Jones futures are up 79 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.61%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.27% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.33%. Asian markets are also higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 2.52% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.55%.
