DTN Early Word Grains 11/16 05:31 Crop Prices a Little Lower Early Thursday December corn was down 1 cent, January soybeans were down 8 cents and March KC wheat was down 1 cent. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was down 1 cent, January soybeans were down 8 cents and March KC wheat was down 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, Dow Jones futures are trading slightly lower with earnings from Walmart expected before the open at 8:30 a.m. CST. Wednesday's meeting between the leaders of the U.S. and China established some basic agreements, including a restoration of communication between their respective military leaders. USDA's weekly export sales report is due out at 7:30 a.m. CST, the same time as U.S. weekly jobless claims and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. U.S. industrial production is set for 8:15 a.m., followed by the Energy Department's updated report on natural gas storage at 9:30 a.m. The International Grains Council issues its monthly report Thursday and, at 2 p.m., USDA will have its Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Outlook. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 163.51 at 34,991.21 and the S&P 500 Index up 7.18 at 4,502.88. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.54%. Early Thursday, December Dow Jones futures are down 16 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.25%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.34% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.37%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.28% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.71%.
