DTN Early Word Grains 11/20 05:38 Grain Markets Mixed Monday Morning as Overnight Rebound in Corn, Soybeans Points to New Exports December corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, January soybeans are up 5 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 3 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 1 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 1 1/2 cents. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, January soybeans are up 5 3/4 cents, March KC wheat is down 3 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 1 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat is down 1 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Equity markets are mixed and quiet as we begin the week. The biggest news Monday morning is the result of the election in Argentina, where the Libertarian outsider candidate won the election on a platform of moving their economy to one that is dollar-based. This could have some big impacts on agricultural flows from that country. The markets will be very interested in the specifics of the new policies as they are announced. Economic news this week is light on this short, holiday week. Monday, we will get U.S. Leading Economic indicators. Tuesday, we get existing home sales and the minutes of the most recent Federal Reserve meeting. Wednesday we will see Durable goods. Friday, we get the flash PMI estimates from S&P. Grain markets will be closed Thursday but will reopen Friday morning for a short session that ends at 12:15 p.m. CST. Ag reports this week include export inspections Monday morning, ethanol production statistics Wednesday, along with the monthly Cold Storage report. Export Sales will be delayed due to Thursday's holiday and will be released Friday morning. The CFTC Commitments of Traders report will be delayed until next Monday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 1.81 at 34,947.28 and the S&P 500 up 5.78 at 4,514.02, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.44%. Early Monday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 12 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.1%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.18% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.3%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.59% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.46%.
