DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/08 16:00 Corn, Soybean, Wheat Prices Follow Thursday's Gains With Lower Closes Friday March corn was down 2 1/2 cents, January soybeans were down 7 3/4 cents and March contracts of all three wheats were also lower after USDA issued largely neutral estimates in Friday's WASDE report. January crude oil was trading higher Friday afternoon after the Energy Department announced it wanted to buy oil for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 2 1/2 cents and July corn was down 2 cents. January soybeans closed down 7 3/4 cents and July soybeans were down 6 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed down 6 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 10 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 7 3/4 cents.
