DTN Early Word Grains 12/27 07:25 Wheat Prices Pull Back, Row Crops Slightly Lower Early Wednesday March corn was down 1 cent, January soybeans were down 3 cents and March KC wheat was down 6 1/2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Friday's GLOBEX CLOSES: March corn was down 1 cent, January soybeans were down 3 cents and March KC wheat was down 6 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading slightly higher, on track to finish the year near the all-time high, helped by the anticipation of lower interest rates ahead in 2024. There are no significant reports due out Wednesday and trading is likely to be subdued this week, ahead of the New Year holiday on Monday. The Energy Department's weekly inventory report, normally out on Wednesdays, will be out Thursday at 10 a.m. CST. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 159.36 at 37,545.33 and the S&P 500 Index up 20.12 at 4,774.75. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.89%. Early Wednesday, March Dow Jones futures are up 5 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.36%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.10% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.19%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.13% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.54%.
